The Remote Trainer can be used to deter unwanted behavior such as digging, chewing on furniture, jumping on guests, or barking. With its range of up to 100 yards, you will have the control you need to train around your home or even at the park. The expanded training manual written by the professional dog trainers at Triple Crown Dog Academy will ensure you get the proper instruction before you begin training your pet. It has eight adjustable levels of stimulation that can be changed with a quick flick of your thumb, so you can be sure to always have the appropriate stimulus-- just enough to get your pet's attention. The only problem with the collar is the size even though it says for a small dog it is still a bit big on our 4 month old beagle. He will grow into it, I hope. 1 of 1 found this review helpful: Works great!, 2008-06-20 I was reluctant to purchase a "shock" collar for my Min Pin because he's only 10 pounds; however, it's worked like a charm. I actually have not used the shock stimulator portion of the collar much because the audio sound stops him in his tracks most of the time. He's crated daily when I go to work and would not stop barking during the day (relative lives with us and complained about it). After some trial runs over the weekend while I was actually home, he's almost completely stopped barking - only seems to bark when he hears noises. Only downside is that I've had the collar for only a month and I just had to replace the 2 button batteries in the collar. I turn the collar off every night; however, it seems to still drain the batteries. Simple to use, less conspicuous on your dog. extremely reliable (Many are not) Only goes as far as 100 metres so could do with greater range, but it is acceptable and I found most time 100 metres was adequate. 3 of 3 found this review helpful: Great customer support, 2008-05-10 When the collar first arrived, we found that it was not working properly. I called the customer support number, they talked me through several tests to see if they could get it to work. After a couple of tests the customer service rep. took down my information and said a new collar would be sent out. Sure enough 4 days later a new fully functioning collar was at my door. Althought the first collar didn't work, with the great customer support, i would recommend this collar and company. 1 of 1 found this review helpful: Worked great for our Beagle, 2008-04-20 We have a very stubborn beagle which up to this point has thwarted all of our efforts to train him. By nature, he is a constant barker and quickly learned to bypass the citronella spray collar and was right back to barking. He's also a food hound and can often be found counter surfing. Once we purchased this collar, it wasn't long before he realized his howling days were over...not to mention the counter surfing as well. The only downfall is that the batteries ran out rather quickly, so I'd suggest ordering extras. Although, he's been on his good behavior even though the collar hasn't been on...we just need to keep it on hand though, because it's only a matter of time before he reverts to his old antics.
